Lead teams to develop and execute project plans for distributing system and inventory control projects in a complex, vertically integrated manufacturing environment.
Develop and execute project plans for materials ordering, receiving, storage for new product, and production system
Reviews and establishes new operating procedures, performance standards/metrics/methods.
Conducts Supply Chain and/or inventory analysis.
Redesigns and/or reengineers logistics processes.
Main job-specific requirements / skills: Design and specify stores.
Support product design process.
Implement visual controls.
Track project progress and report gaps & opportunities.
Prepare new system for ERP implementation.
Identify opportunities to positively affect Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Morale.
Participate and lead kaizen events.
Support and lead problem-solving and reporting efforts when materials issues arise.
Develop and maintain materials and information flows (value stream maps).
Office tools package knowledge, advance Excel
Optional: - Experience with a warehouse management system (WMS)
- RFID or barcode technology experience preferred
- Implementation experience a plus
- Pull system implementation and management
- Experience with Kaizen process
- 2+ years leading small to medium sized projects
- Cost justification/ROI
- Experience with lean tools, including: A3 reporting, 5-whys, 5s
