The production planner provides the production department with a work schedule and ensures that all the resources needed to complete the schedule are available. A planner works with the production department leaders, subassembly or component planners, purchasing and shipping to monitor the progress of work through the organization, and work close with customer service and master scheduler to provide shipping schedule and notify on any change on the ship dates.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Plan and monitor flow of materials for the prototype, alfa/beta production needs, as well as following the entire process along the NPDI cycle time. Keeping in control the right inventory value.
- Planning purchase orders in alignment with production needs and laboratory requirements.
- Work with Engineering, Labs, Production and Procurement to ensure the proper planning and purchasing of materials for NPDI:
- Collect and elaborate any information for anticipation and/or postponement and perform this reschedule-in/reschedule-out activity in the System (Oracle).
- Create Purchase orders according to the information received in the System (Oracle) but also during off-line NPDI project meetings, having the responsibility to track them back until they are aligned into the System (Oracle).
- Daily contact with suppliers for calibration of deliveries.
- Keep updated, constantly and precisely, all the materials planning parameters of the Company ERP system
- Manage all the inbound materials in compliance to the Company rules for inventories: slow moving, obsolete excess.
- Asses every opportunity aimed at simplifying the Supply Chain, drawing benefits like LT reduction, optimization of inventory rotation. To work in accordance with ITC regulations.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Technical High school Diploma or University Degree in a science or technical faculty.
- Purchasing, logistics or manufacturing experience of 2/3 years is highly recommended.
- English: Intermediate or high level, according to the kind of suppliers to be managed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of the supply process and of the internal mechanisms of inventories in manufacturing companies.
- Experience with MRP systems. Knowledge of the impacts on materials during/after the introduction of new products could be a plus
