.TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value. What your background should look like: ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing and maintaining valid production schedules from the backlog and demand forecast to meet customer requirements, while utilizing resources cost effectively.Support Value Stream Leaders in leading materials related projects and play a key role in New Product Introductions.Maintain a valid plan in SAP/Rapid Response.Plans flow of work through plant, considering raw materials and shipping dates of finished products.Working closely with cross-functional leads, identify, plan and resolve inconsistencies and gaps between demand and supply.Alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.Work with Procurement to ensure material availability.Load and review part number detail on weekly basis.Keep Interco suppliers workload level loaded.Communicate ship schedules to Customer Service Advocates.Monitor weekly customer shipments/STO.Monitors lead times and lead time offsets in the system to reflect flow and lean manufacturing principles.Highlight parts for maintenance of the item master in MRP environment.Maintenance of purchase orders.Review and work Exception messages daily.Participate in cycle counting program.Manage inventory levels to support Days on Hand targets QualificationsMinimum of 3 years of experience in a Materials Planning position or previous Master Scheduling experience.Strong interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.Candidate must maintain a positive, professional attitudePossess the ability to multi-task in a changing environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work under pressure, balancing conflicting priorities and resource constraints.Thorough understanding of MRP logic and inventory strategies.Experience with SAP is preferred.Track attainment to production schedule.Schedule release of finished material to customer orders.Inventory management.Ability to analyze and reconcile material issues.Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) is a plus.Advanced Computer skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.APICS certification preferred.BS or BA Degree required
