Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data, and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments, and individuals for their own use.
ResponsibilitiesCreate, improve, and execute measurements request from production issues. Through CMM and VMM programs, test concepts (models, set-ups, simulation, and test) for components, assemblies, devices, and systems in consultation with relevant supervision.Able to create testing methods and document it for inspection standardization 24/7.Able to communicate results and requirements to all level partners.Actively participate, collaborate, and comply with all policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as customer-specific requirements related to quality assurance through management of dimensional reports, (Full Article Inspection, Critical Characteristics inspection, MSA, and capability analysis).Knowledge and RequirementsEnglish: Write and read desirable.Scholarship: High school technical degree, Professional degree desirable (mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, or similar).Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.SkillsStrong management and programming of CMM using Calypso software and Zone3/Measure mind.Strong knowledge of GD&T.Data analyst for statistical studies (full MSA, process capability estimation (PPK, CPK).Uncertainty estimation.Statistical knowledge (SPC).Knowledge in Minitab.Corning Puts YOU First!
