The Advance Mechanical Design Engineer position is part of the Global Process Engineering Services (GPES) group within the CTO organization. The Mechanical Design Engineer I will be part of an engineering group that is responsible for material cost savings, productivity improvements, and product support to Honeywell R&O service centers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide product and technical support to the Global R&O workshops by driving material savings initiatives, product/process support activities, and performance improvements.
- Support the department's goals for backlog reduction, revenue growth, and material savings, through Repair improvements.
- Identify Workscoping opportunities to improve business performance relating to reuse, repair, replace, and extending maintenance repair limits.
- Identify and implement aggressive cost reduction initiatives and identify external business opportunities relating to the Repair and overhaul business.
- Operate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and Honeywell Operating System (HOS)
**YOU MUST HAVE**
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited university

- DFSS Certified or can gain certification within 6 months
- Basic technical skills in blueprint interpretation and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, design drawings, and related specifications
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as the position demands the ability to represent the site in technical discussions with customers and/or regulatory agencies
- Familiarity with the specific Honeywell products listed in the site capability list
