Lead projects and perform identified duties related to the design of mechanical components for aviation commercial engines.- Develop and execute project plans to comply with the business priorities and customer needs by managing its deliverables and milestones within budget and schedule.- Provide technical design support to solve manufacturing and field (engines in service) findings.**Roles and Responsibilities**- Execute the design, analysis, and/or evaluation of assigned projects related to mechanical components and systems using design principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.- Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.- Lead the solution and implementation of technical problems for components, assemblies or processes:- Define technical schedule based on the program requirements.- Design solutions for mechanical drive systems components as per technical and program requirements.- Participate as a presenter in technical and program reviews.- Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and ensuring schedule requirements are met.- Effectively Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.- Ensure timely communication to stakeholders.- Document technical data generated by developing the design substantiation of the assigned component, consistent with engineering policies and procedures.- Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understandingto accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.- May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.- A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills and may be required to lead a junior team. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE.
