**Responsibilities Include**:- Collaborate with all Center programs toward the creation of visual displays such as posters, slideshows, community art, interactive displays, conference presentations, etc.- Document conservation activities through video, art, photography, graphic design and other media- Inspire broad participation in conservation by creatively communicating the Center's work to diverse audiences- Update and maintain the field station's social media (and help with website updates)- Write and design an engaging monthly newsletter with updates on Center activities- Help to maintain a photo database of over 65,000 images- Help to maintain a small physical library of regional materials and a digital library of electronic resources (EndNote)- Edit English written by non-native speakers- Support the writing, graphic design and/or editing of grant proposals, technical reports, annual reports, and peer-reviewed articles- Support and interface with visiting researchers and groups- Participate in the Center's research, education and outreach activities as possible- Support facilitation of communication workshops with staff and community members- Participate in university class activities in a support role- Lend general support to logistics and other Center activities- Get involved in events, outreach, and collaboration with other programs at the Center including the Environmental Education, Marine Mammal, Wetland Conservation and Indigenous Community Partnership programs- Contribute to the Center ´s vision of modeling multi-cultural and co-creative collaboration**Required experience/skills include**:- Bachelor's degree in a related field- Strong interest in and commitment to the Center's mission and vision- Ability to be self-directed/motivated as well as work as a team member and during irregular hours- Excellent visual media skills (photography, video, graphic design, slideshows, etc.
)- Familiarity with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator or Photoshop, Premiere pro and Microsoft Excel- Excellent writing and editing skills; professional level English required; Spanish highly desirable- Experience managing social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter- Willingness/desire to participate in conservation projects conducted through the Center- Working knowledge of ecology and conservation issues- Ability to work and live as a part of a bilingual team in a remote communal field station in a small fishing village in northwestern Mexico- Willingness to pitch in beyond project work to creating a functional and positive field station atmosphere- Valid driver's license and good driving skills in a variety of conditionsWork Location: In personExpected Start Date: 13/09/2021
