.This position is responsible for the Health activities within the Irapuato, México Manufacturing Facility of Metso MAC. This position will specialize in formulating and executing the local occupational health program and ensuring it is in line with our corporate HSE policies. Duties will include ensuring that the healthy of our employees complies with Metso standards through proactive implementation of HSE systems, education and training of our local personnel and job evaluations for occupational health activities. This function will work closely with the Plant Manager - Irapuato, as well as with the HSE Manager, MAC México.Essential Functions1. Performing medical examinations for new staff and periodic to all Metso Outotec personnel.2. Daily attention to personnel who require medical consultation.3. Verify compliance and monitor all Occupational Health programs.4. Attention and investigation of accidents and work incidents.5. Generation of risk observations and safety conversation according to the established KPIs.Job**Responsibilities**:- Work with Mexico HSE Manager & Local HSE Committee to establish and maintain an occupational health program for the Irapuato Manufacturing Facility.- Develop and implement occupational health that sustain a solid health culture.- Ensure full compliance with current legislation affecting health, safety and environment.- Prepare monthly and annual reports that detail current HSE activity.- Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively express ideas in individual or group situations (including non-verbal communication) and be fully able to adjust to the needs and characteristics of the audience.- Investigate report, follow up and maintain all necessary paperwork for all accidents/incidents. Design and implement appropriate preventative procedures to minimize risk to all employees.- Ensure compliance with Health standards and update the local procedures.- Participate in the development and updating of local health procedures, and when necessary use the support of specialists.- Update the local health plan, as required.- Work close with local management and employees to analyze operational risks prior to commencing with any new operations within the plant.- Investigate and analyze all accidents and incidents working toward a zero-accident target.- Work as liaison between the shop employees, Production Supervisor and Plant Manager.Supervisory Responsibility- Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager and / HSE Manager, MAC MexicoTravel- No travel required**Qualifications**:- Associates Degree or combined education and experience.- Minimum 5 years experience with health services such as employee health testing and Workers Compensation required.Essential Physical Job Functions and Work Environment- Capable of providing direction and motivation.- Strong leadership, development and relationship building skills.- Proven communication skills - written and verbal
