Job TitleMerchandising PlannerPosition PurposeTimely follow-up Sales, GM, Vendor Funding and Inventory Plans, developing forecasts and updating those forecasts at Category/SubCategory level. Partner with Merchandising Category Managers and Directors to develop projections on the above mentioned KPIs by week, period and year evaluating accuracy and adjusting accordingly.Primary Accountabilities- Forecast Sales, GM, Vendor Funding on a weekly basis and Inventory on a quarterly basis, analyze plan vs. actual results and adjust accordingly Integrate forecast changes into Forecast Tool, identifying and communicating significant changes to balance of the year.- Review and develop projections (Forecast, LE, KTP, and LRP) on a scheduled basis) with Category Manager, Directors and FP&A team, listing potential risks to hit targets.- Work with Category Managers on quantifying the impact of potential decisions and tactics and develop ad hoc analyses, at Category/Channel level, on KPIs forecast, to make the best decisions to hit targets.- Collaborate with Merchandising Team throughout the Line Review process evaluating, proposing changes, and following up on requested revisions to the N13 Outlook until is approved by the Merchandising VP. The projections will be reflected in the Forecast.- Collaborate with Financial Planning and Analysis Team on the weekly revision of the Sales and Margin forecast, providing the most recent version of those KPIs and the cause of change from prior weeks.- Develop next fiscal year annual plan, at a category category/channel, along with Category Managers Senior and Merch Director, for Sales, Margin, Inventory and Vendor Funding and integrate it the presentation for the Merchandising Business Planning meeting.Education & ExperienceLevel of Formal Education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.Area of Study: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or similar areaYears of Experience: Two to three years.Type of Experience: Experience in Financial Planning, and/or Merchandising.
