.**About the Role**:This role, which reports directly to the Central Merchant Operations Lead will primarily act as product champion, connecting local teams to Product teams in HQ, in order to test and launch key features for the region. The role will also lead, generate and implement short and mid-term initiatives as strategic projects that aim our magnificent operation, fostering the best experience in our platform for merchants, couriers, and eaters!You will understand and size the opportunities in our products and processes, working together with central and cross-functional teams to lead on implementation.We are looking for an individual who has strong operational and analytical skills, as well as strategic business sense and stakeholder management.This is a key position that can have a big impact on business and operations, positioning the UberEats app as the first thought when people want to order food or groceries. We have a lot of exciting projects going on, and the sky is the limit.**What you'll do**:- Product Champion: Propose features that could enhance the experience on and efficiency of our partner operations and experience, measuring their impact and prioritizing them, in order to advocate for their development. Collaborate with Product teams around the globe to prioritize, test and execute new launches- Strategic Ownership: Proactively identify business needs and issues. Prioritize among projects to define the best path to meet strategic objectives and complete them!- Business Acumen: Translate insights from operational and financial metrics into strategy and action plans. Develop and understand the levers that move our business- Problem Solving: Identify the root cause of risks and opportunities, propose multiple, useful solutions, and weigh tradeoffs to recommend the best approach- Process Optimization: Implement, optimize, and scale core analyses and processes across the region and beyond, regularly reviewing performance- Lead cross-functional initiatives by building close relationships with global and local partners across operations, marketing, customer support, product, policy, and legal**What you'll need**:- 3+ years of consistent track record in similar industries, consultancies, retailers, start ups, among other- Data-Driven Mentality: Make strategic decisions based on data analysis and interpretation. Experience getting in the weeds of data, balanced with the ability to see the big picture. Critical thinking and analytical rigor, as you will be dealing with data (reports, experiments) and scaling processes and products- Communication: English proficiency. Proven experience interpreting and presenting data to various audiences in an engaging and comprehensive, yet succinct manner- Teamwork: Demonstrate optimism, respect others, and work well in a team. Ability to work with people from a diverse set of backgrounds and responsibilities
