The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining tools and dies for metal stamping processes. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and mechanical design principles to ensure the efficient production of high-quality stamped metal parts.Key Responsibilities:Design and Development:Design and develop new stamping tools and dies using CAD software.Modify and improve existing tools and dies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.Create detailed engineering drawings and specifications for tool and die fabrication.Process Optimization:Analyze and improve metal stamping processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.Implement best practices for tool and die maintenance to minimize downtime.Collaborate with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to stamping processes.Material and Cost Analysis:Select appropriate materials for tool and die construction to ensure durability and performance.Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for new tool and die projects.Quality Assurance:Ensure that all tools and dies meet quality standards and specifications.Work closely with the quality control team to address any issues related to stamped parts.Perform regular inspections and maintenance of tools and dies to ensure optimal performance.Project Management:Manage multiple tool and die projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of materials and components.Prepare and present project reports and updates to management.Technical Support:Provide technical support and training to production staff on the proper use and maintenance of tools and dies.Stay updated with the latest advancements in metal stamping technology and tooling methods.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and die design for metal stamping processes.Proficiency in CAD software (e.G., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant engineering tools.Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
