We embrace change and are open to new thinking and pushing for positive change in our industry.Sound like the place for you?**Business Need / Purpose of Role**The **Documentation Clerk **is the link between the operations and the accounting department, ensuring the correct entry of information in our systems to keep track of the invoices incurred in the scales of the vessel in port, in order to put together the final account.**Objectives & Measurement - Key Responsibilities**:- Work together with ship agents in the collection of all documentary information (invoices) related to ship care.- Enter billing information into internal computer systems.- Collaborate with the vessel agent in meeting vessel requirements.- Ensure that the Department meets KPI standards- Resolve problems or doubts with customers regarding billing issues or other documents.- Work with the Shipping Agent on department strategies to improve work procedures.**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:- Knowledge of Port Operations and maritime industry- Knowledge of Shipping documentation i.E., Bill of Lading (BOL- Knowledge of Operational web-based systems- Knowledge of local maritime laws, rules, and regulations- Attention to details and effective organizational skills**Education/Experience**:- Technical degree in administrative areas.
