What you'll need to be successful: Strong
knowledge of the Android SDK and various Android versions, as well as handling
different screen sizes with proficiency in Java and Kotlin. Experience
with Android Jetpack components and familiarity with architectural
patterns such as MVVM, MVP, and MVI. Solid
understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best
practices. Experience
with unit testing and test automation frameworks like Mockito, Espresso,
and Robolectric. Knowledge of
offline storage, threading, and performance tuning. Experience
building applications with accessibility standards in mind, with a
preference for those knowledgeable in WCAG 2.2. Comprehensive
understanding of the mobile development lifecycle. Familiarity
with RESTful and GraphQL APIs to connect Android applications to backend
services. Continuous
integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) experience.
