**Primary Purpose**:
This role is part of our Global Chemical Distribution Finance Team supporting and will drive sustainable growth and resource optimization. This role directly supports our Corporate Account team which consists of Univar's largest customers and our Product Management Team in North America and Europe. You will be responsible for designing and implementing routine financial analysis views/reports and identifying and implementing process improvements across the organization. This role has a direct line to senior commercial leadership and key decision makers. A good analyst has curiosity, critical thinking framework, attention to details, strategic approach and is passionate about translating data to quality insights enabling timely/sound business decisions.
**What you will do**:
- Review and analyze daily/weekly margin reports and monthly financial statements and reports.
- Build and maintenance a set of Tableau reports to translate data into insight and impact
- Track KPIs and understand business drivers
- Review PL transactions for data accuracy
- Compare anticipated results and identify areas of improvement
- Assist with forecast/budgeting and monthly close processes.
- Develop financial models through benchmarking and process analysis
- Evaluate commercial contracts and deals (CAPEX, working capital, people resource) and risk/ opportunities
**What you will need**:
- Bilingual Level English Proficiency
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or data analysis. (Big 4/public accounting experience, CPA or MBA is a plus.)
- 3+ years of experience in accounting, financial planning, analysis, and modeling.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to perform in a high-pressure environment.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong data skill. Advanced in Excel. SAP/BW and/or Tableau
