Job Description:
Activities:
'- Support New Product Development Launch teams through RFQ development, analysis and negotiation of supplier quote responses, Supplier Statement of Work.
- Provide BOM material cost model for new products to the facility.
- Support the project leadership with cost models to develop make/buy scenarios.
- Ensure alignment of the global and local category management strategies.
- Provide escalation of the commercial needs of the project to the Strategic Souring team.
- Develop sourcing recommendations with supporting rationale and documentation
- Participate as an extended member of the Purchasing Commodity Team in regard to commodity strategy, business strategy, supplier consolidation, and cost savings
- Support manufacturing operations and quality department with supplier issue resolution
- Administrate Purchase Orders and Vendor Master information in the ERP system
- Comply with purchasing policies/procedures, as well as legal/ethical obligations
**Requirements**:
'- Skilled in use of MS Office Suite, specifically in Excel.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Logistics, Scheduling, Material Handling, Inventory Control and Lean Manufacturing
- Strong track record of working in diverse, cross-functional teams
- Experience in New Product Development (NPD).
Optional:
'- 4-year degree with a Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business, or materials educational background
- 5+ years purchasing experience with prior experience working on New Product Development teams. CPM or CPSM is desirable
- Ability to analyze complex data, identify and executes savings opportunities, implement sourcing strategies, and quickly execute tasks to realize benefits
- Ability to multi-task multiple categories & projects. Ability to coordinate strategies/activities across multiple business functions
