Through a respectful, inclusive and collaborative culture, a career at Flex offers the opportunity to make a difference, invest in your career growth and join our purpose - to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.- Job Summary- To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a _- NPI Buyer_- located in _- Guadalajara, North Campus_- ._- Reporting to the Materials Manager, NPI Buyer role involves_- coordination and implementation of ECO changes, new products or end-of-life products in accordance with Customer specific requirements._- What a typical day looks like:- _ Prime interface to Customer regarding Supply chain activities for NPI/TPI/EOL/ECO._- _ Responsible for efficient communication flow about progress of every NPI/TPI/EOL/ECO related project within SC, CFT and with Customer (including Customer/Supplier visits/meetings and calls)_- _ New Supply chain related processes implementation (exceptions, new requirements, special agreements with Customer etc.) for NPI/TPI/EOL/ECO._- _ Coordination and implementation of ECO changes within SC in accordance to Customer specific requirements_- _ Coordination transfers of new products in accordance to Customer specific requirements_- _ Coordinating end-of-life process in accordance to Customer specific requirements (including minimizing obsolete, revaluation)_- _ Coordinating verification of new MPN/Supplier on production (First Article Inspection - FAI procedure)_- _ Responsible/Co-ordination_ of preparing material RFQ, as applicable, (Request for quotation for new Bill of Material and for all new Engineering Change Order /ECO), reviews and analyses new offers from suppliers_- _ Responsible/Co-ordination_ of preparing Costed Bill of Materials, as required, (CBOM) for Customer approval and system set up to release Purchase Orders_- _ Controlling AMLs and maintaining T&C for new items (collecting and maintaining data, solving discrepancies with Customer, requests for deviations to Customer etc.)_- _ Purchasing material status for prototypes/pilots._- _ Managing changes in deliveries status according to agreed rescheduling rules with Customer and negotiating minimized impact for Flex excess_- _ Solving all material discrepancies related to parts delivered for prototypes/pilots with Customer_- _ Should be able to read technical documentation (including 3D specifications)_- _ Should have enough knowledge about preferred suppliers in relevant commodities
