We believe we can bring about a future where anyone can print anything.This is a full-time contractor position based at our manufacturing partner's facility in Chihuahua, Mexico.**Why We Need You**:As Glowforge enters a new chapter of growth, we are designing new products and broadening our contract manufacturing supply base, to deliver our magic to more people than ever before. We need you to make this possible and help us by developing a proven contract manufacturing operation and implementing best in class supplier management practices!**Here's what you'll be doing**:You are our product materials manager (PMM) working with our CM, driving meetings to monitor the current state of the program, and proactively anticipate and address potential disruptions and risks associated with: project schedule, materials availability, design or quality issues, capacity constraints, etc. You are leading the conversation to make sure the CM is clearly communicating program and material status, providing visibility of problems, running clear to build reports and managing the supply chain effectively.**Additional activities will be**:- Act as the first point of contact and/or escalation for all project and supply chain operations issues, help with root cause analysis and suggest creative corrective actions; - Ensure stability of our supply chain by leading and sorting all kind of materials challenges, shortages, cost variances, MOQ´s, etc; - Drive key metrics to maintain a world class manufacturing operations, for example: healthy inventory levels, competitive cost, customer satisfaction index, reasonable lead times and supplier delivery performance.- Maintain close collaboration with other internal cross functional teams to maintain the continuity of the business.- Work proactively to provide "What if" scenarios and calculate adequate safety stock inventories to keep EOL in control.- Coordinate ECO´s implementation to optimize the material consumption.**You need these qualifications**:- A 4-year BA/BS/BEng degree or equivalent experience.- Extensive experience in program management, manufacturing planning and supply chain management for a multinational or global company with solid understanding in the electronic industry
