Our products contribute to improving the quality of life of millions of people.Job DescriptionThe Sr. Project Purchasing Specialist (Part Family) will be responsible for the following:Promote and support the establishment of a reliable and competitive local supply base.Active participation in the definition of product-related supplier strategy.Manage procurement activities for platform and application projects, including target cost setting.Responsible for the achievement of quality, cost, and delivery targets.Prepare supplier selection, including RFQ process, supplier evaluation and communication, and participation in sourcing decisions.Interface with Central Purchasing, material field related purchasing, quality, engineering department, and Business Unit.Ensure preventive quality planning (PQP) for project-specific new parts and coordination of their release.Promote and support RPP activities.Change management for procured parts.Support series production and after-market when needed.Travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.QualificationsMinimum:Bachelor's Degree (preferably in Mechanical Engineering).5 years experience related to the quality of purchasing parts in an automotive environment.2+ years of commercial and technical project management experience.Advanced English skills.MS Office proficient.Preferred:Knowledge of Plastic & Rubber - Injected/Molded Components, Turned parts, Electro-Mechanical sub-assemblies.Experience in product costing.Experience in managing SAP system.Analytical and structural approach.Work well independently, highly motivated, results-oriented.Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.Ability to develop a network in a very complex company culture.Presentation skills.SAP knowledge.At least 5 years in the automotive industry quality-related.#J-18808-Ljbffr
