**Job Summary and Scope**:
The Payroll Manager manages the day to day operations at national level, providing support and transactional services to employees, HR Generalists and Managers across the region. This role is accountable for the service performance, control indicators, operational definitions and models. As a Leader, the Payroll Manager is a role model on LEM behaviors, highly involved on its career development, providing constant guidance and feedback at a personal level. Active participation on Continuous Improvement and Service Evolution initiatives is required. Owner of all processes derived of a Payroll Process in Mexico (including and not limited to accounting, fiscal, legal, etc.)

**Responsibilities**:.
- Implement internal controls and procedures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of payroll data
- Partner with payroll vendor personnel to direct or solve problems with Mexico payroll results
- Partner with HR staff/ Ops Supervisors as needed to implement required payroll changes
- Effectively respond to employee questions/issues regarding payroll results, tax discounts, overtime payment, bonus payment, etc.
- Understand how Workday payroll feeds to the General Ledger system in order to assist the GL team in answering account-related questions.
- Review opportunities, propose strategic proposals for ways to reduce payroll processing costs and further streamline payroll processing procedures/practices.
- Lead and further develop members of payroll team to implement standard practices/processes and create individual accountability.
- Ensure weekly (52) and every 10 day cycle (36) payrolls are produced and distributed as required.
- Expert in the calculation and strong legal knowledge in IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, IDSE, SUA, SAT, Social Security Law for each state in Mexico (31 states), be updated in legal changes.
- Guarantee orders for compliance with the Payroll Tax at the national level, Fonacot, accounting related to payroll, payroll and its fiscal and labor impact
- Work in partnership with external fiscal firm, Tax and accounting department to present dictaminations
- Determine Company's Labor Liabilities annual reserve requirements
- Responsible for the monthly closures
- Owner of all processes outside of the Workday Business Process, related to payroll
- Enusre no mistakes in process before government agencies and fix past errors of previous administrations to be align with government request.
- Support HR Director in cost of benefits improvement how they impact Mexico's P&L

**Education and Experience**:

- B.S. in Economics, Administration, Accounting or related
- 8 to 10 years of experience in Payroll processes (end-to-end)
- Expertise in country payroll
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Payroll Software Knowledge (ERP, SAP, Kronos, Revolution, TRESS, Workday)
- 4-5 years of experience leading team - People Management Skills.
- Show strong program oversight project management capabilities and anticipate risks/issues.
- Results oriented, desition making, teamwork, customer service, networking, work under pressure, frustration tolerance, sense of urgency, proactive.
- Skilled in sheets and manipulation of data
- Fluent in English (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong client support, resulting in a positive employee experience
- Strong knowledge of general ledger to support accounting inquiries and resolve reconciling items related to payroll
- Payroll provider management experience (Workday is advantageous)
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, often competing

**Working Conditions / Physical Requirements**:

- Mostly sedentary but will require travel of 10%

**Decision Rights**:

- Position is accountable for accurate and timely processing of payroll, legal government institutions (IMSS, INFONAVIT, FONACOT, Labor Security Law, Tax Law in each state -31 states-). This includes required short
- and long-term decisions that may impact routine payroll processing. Those of larger consequence or complexity would require input versus final decision.
