This role will be part of the Enterprise & Employees Financial Services team. The Global Services Finance organization provides best-in-class, efficient and compliant financial services to our Operating Companies around the world.

**Position Summary**

Accountable for payroll and time and attendance operations in Mexico. This role will provide leadership, guidance, and development support to the cross-functional, operations and project teams including adherence to statutory, legal and policy compliance. The Payroll Manager will require strong communication skills to collaborate with customers to maintain the efficiency, effectiveness, and excellence of the teams, reflected in the Operation metrics. The role also requires vendor and service level management and will be responsible for providing strategic decision-making to drive the team's performance towards the company objectives and enterprise strategic priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provides payroll operational expertise to establish sustainable and effective operational model to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll cycles in compliance with company policies as well as statutory and legal requirements.
- Leads audit and compliance for payroll controls, ensures corrective actions are communicated and addressed.
- Identifies and recommends updates to payroll and Time and Attendance processing software, systems, and procedures.
- Maintains key relationships with partners across the organization.
- Provide Internal and external Communication to support customers and organizational change as necessary on matters related to payroll.
- Understand and handle the relationship and delivery of payroll services by third party service provider in line with contractual service level agreements.
- Make sound decisions to handle conflicts and risks in operations.
- Lead and assist others where possible for the good of the team and department. Adhere to company, department, and team standards of integrity and protocol. Assure that behavior aligns with the J&J credo and supports a positive work environment.
- Maintains a high degree of confidentiality, data protection assurance, conformity with J&J policies, procedures, external regulations, and agencies.
- Coach and develop a high-performance team through organizational leadership.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 5 years of prior experience in payroll operations.
- Strong data analytics skills and ability to work with a multitude of people across global footprint.
- Strong English language verbal and written communication skills is required.
- Strong strategic, transformational thinking and decision making is required.
- Prior Experience with end-to End payroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations and compliance.
- Prior experience in a multi-national company.
- Experience managing high employee volume.
- Ability to address customer's issues, conflicting priorities and partner concerns is required.
- Ability to think strategically, make suggestions to leadership, and in some cases, serve as the decision-maker for payroll administration topics.
- Experience with Knowledge Management artifacts such as Desktop Procedures (DTPs), Standard Operations Procedures (SOP's).
- Proficiency with Compliance requirements (SOX and Business Controls).
- Ability to effectively audit payroll records and identify root cause of errors.

**Preferred**:

- Experience in Kronos, meta4, e-time, Global view, workday, SAP, Blackline.
- Experience in usage of intelligent automation tools.
