Purpose of Position: Meet customer's expectations of on-time delivery.Available resources and materials management techniques.Maintain raw material flow from vendor/supplier by establishing partnerships.Support department and organization growth by analyzing constraints and suggesting projects to implement solutions.Responsibilities: Analyzes customer order requirements and production capacity to acknowledge shipping dates for assigned production areas.Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule as required by the area supervisor.Monitors inventory levels and strategies to maintain at optimum levels, in order to optimize inventory turns & efficiencies.Interfaces with corporate customer service representatives (CSR's) on an ongoing basis.Communicates issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization.Establishes and maintains communication with internal/external suppliers to improve lead times and other issues pertaining to raw materials.Coordinates production strategies with manufacturing to develop stock quantities to satisfy rushed customer orders.Attends & participates in daily production meetings, as well as shift change over daily cross-functional meetings.Other tasks as assigned by Planning Supervisor.Secures raw material components from internal and external suppliers on a timely manner, based on sales expectations (forecast), as well as customer orders.Schedules the customer orders giving a promised ship date, according to the capacity of the lines, and raw material availability.Contributes and participates in Internal and External Audits in department, ensuring good results.Skills: Supply Chain processSAP/MS OfficeKPI's understandingCorning Puts YOU First!
