.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Coordinate receiving inspection activities in adherence to the Control Plan, communicate quality issues with parts to the suppliers, quarantine suspect items and promote quick response and root solutions thru SCARs.- Coordinate Metals - CNC inspection activities according with the daily production schedule, communicate quality issues to inspection and production teams, quarantine suspect items and promote quick response and root solutions.- Act as liaison with Materials, Purchasing, Engineering and Production areas to resolve internal quality concerns related to produced parts (engineering changes, deviations, new parts, special testing, supplier changes, etc)- Perform process quality reviews and audits to verify corrective actions effectiveness (Visit sister plants - internal customers). Report out audit results and drive process improvement trackers.- Responsible to control Parts Hold area and to call for MRB meetings to resolve doubts on suspect materials and coordinate its appropriate disposition.- Monitors associate performance and assist associates in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and managing performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement associate training and skill development activities.- Oversees frontline employee relations and timekeeping for associates- Leads by example and imposes all safety and operational procedures; promote and ensure a safe working environment in compliance with company and regulatory standards by coaching and guiding associates on safety procedures and maintain compliance with established policies and procedures.- Participates in the review of root cause analysis; resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems, including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence and promote continuous improvement initiatives.- Responsible for accurately completing reports and providing production data.- Meets performance standards for quality, productivity, 6Ss and safety.- Other duties as assigned.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience required.- A minimum of three-years of experience in a manufacturing environment and quality auditing experience as Supplier Quality, strongly preferred in the furniture industry- A minimum of three-years of experience supervising in a manufacturing quality environment; metal stamping industryis a plus.- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business communications and technical equipment manuals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of associates and leadership.- Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
