**Job Overview**:**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**:- Be thoroughly familiar with project Scopes of Work and/or bids being worked on, specifications, work schedules, and all cross-functional requirements, including identifying issues as early as possible.- Plan, Schedule, Delegate and Lead the work to be performed by the team.- Ensure that the necessary project and/or bid documentation being worked on is properly received by each of the disciplines in charge through Document Control and/or through the EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) site being used on the project.- Ensure that the Material Take Off (MTO) and Material Requisition (REQ) activities are adjusted to the scheduled times for the execution of the project in charge.- Coordinate with the PMT the various subcontracts and/or manufacturing strategies for the correct ordering of materials.- Review and identify which materials will be delivered by the customer (Free Issue Materials) and coordinate the team to take those materials into account.- Oversee the activities of issuing MTOs and Requisitions.- Identify necessary inputs from other departments for the MTO team to do their work.- Coordinate with Engineering and/or the Customer that departmental queries and/or doubts are resolved.- Coordinate and supervise with Engineering and/or the Client the reconciliation of equivalent and/or alternative materials that can be used if necessary.- Supervise that the elaboration of requisitions and/or delivery of materials is developed in accordance with the instructions of the PMT and/or the list of subcontractors on the projects.- Manage the use of leftover materials from other projects, leftover materials from canceled jobs, and/or leftover inventory to avoid purchasing more materials.- Monitor and/or Manage Change Orders and/or Variances developed for scope changes and/or modifications within the project in charge.- Implement the correct use and tracking of controls and/or reports for Worked Documents, Material Ordered (REQs), and Material Needed (MTOs).- Assist in the preparation of MTOs for Bids or IDBs.- Participate in internal, customer, and/or third-party audit- Compile the Lessons Learned by the different disciplines in charge and capture new lessons being learned during the development of the activities.- Manage and implement solutions and/or improvements to department processes to achieve time and cost savings.- Maintain the record of the documents issued for the different projects worked to keep up to date with the metrics, history, and KPIs of the department.- Participate in the update and expansion of the Principal MTO Designer job description and the MTO area procedures.
**Essential Qualifications and Education**:- Bachelor´s degree in Civil, Mechanical, industrial Engineering or related field.- 8-12 years working in the construction of Offshore Platforms and/or Onshore Structures with a major constructor, contractor, or consultant.- Advanced knowledge of the English language
