ObjectiveThe Process Engineer will contribute to maintain and improve manufacturing KPI´s and provide solutions to problems that may arise in Nemak plants.Main ResponsibilitiesContinuous improvement of the internal and external scrap. To keep it within or below the target. Ensure the compliance of the process and product standards across all the operations involved in the manufacturing process (melting, core making, tooling, molding, decoring, riser cut, deflashing, heat treatment) of a casting (cylinder head or structural).Process improvement (control and process variability reduction).Manage the process of definition and implementation of engineering changes, either customer or internally driven. Perform feasibility studies, simulations to evaluate impact to casting quality, trials to evaluate impact on all processes.Ensure tooling and engineering model update. Ensure measurement (cmm) updates, fixtures, and impact on machining process. Ensure the correct deployment of engineering changes thru internal and customer required protocols and procedures.Documentation and update of process FMEA, control plan, flow diagram, standard procedures, work instructions, process check sheets.Quality improvement through structured problem analysis and solution tools. Use of statistical analysis for decision making.Use of available or proposed tools, apps to optimize process management. Definition and optimization of process windows to tighten process specs when required to improve quality KPIs.Position RequirementsEducation: bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or any engineering related.Experience: 5-8 years as process engineer in automotive industry, foundry processes preferably aluminum (gravity, low pressure, high pressure) and core making.Proven experience and skills in problem analysis and solution (dmaic, deep drill and wide, 3 step analysis, red x) knowledge and experience in melting processes, molding, tooling maintenance.English Advanced#J-18808-Ljbffr
