**Job Title: Category Lead - **Machinery, Equipment, Construction and Information Technology (San Jeronimo)

**Summary of Job**

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities**

**Strategic Sourcing and Procurement**:

- Lead the end-to-end procurement process across various categories from RFQ development to supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract execution, and ongoing supplier management.
- Develop and implement category-specific procurement strategies that cater to company objectives and maximize value.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and technological advancements to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
**Capital Purchases & Expenditure Management**:

- Oversee Capital purchases, particularly in Machinery, Equipment, Construction services, ensuring they are in line with project specifications and budgets.
- Evaluate and validate equipment purchases, ensuring value for money and relevance to operational needs.
- Control expenditures, ensuring alignment with set budgets and financial objectives.
- Maintain accurate capital expenses tracker.
**Construction Services Procurement**:

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
- Engage with reliable suppliers offering optimal value and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards in construction procurement.
**Equipment Procurement**:

- Liaise with relevant departments to identify equipment needs, then source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and oversee the purchasing cycle.
- Ensure all procured equipment meets company standards and requirements.
**IT Procurement**:

- Coordinate with the IT department to determine technological needs and specifications.
- Manage the acquisition of IT solutions, hardware, and services, balancing organizational needs and budget considerations.
**Other Procurement Services**:

- Oversee the procurement of miscellaneous goods and services as required by the organization.
- Continuously identify and evaluate new suppliers and vendors to diversify and strengthen the company's supplier base.
**Contract Management**:

- Maintain a thorough understanding of contracts across the board.
- Leverage negotiation techniques to secure favorable terms and mitigate contractual risks.
**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Foster robust relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure their procurement requirements are consistently met.
- Cultivate and enhance supplier relationships for consistent performance and mutually beneficial collaboration.
**Continuous Improvement**:

- Routinely assess procurement processes, championing improvements that align with industry best practices.
- Drive initiatives aimed at refining procurement efficiency and value creation.
**Education and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, IT, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in procurement, spanning construction services, equipment, IT, and other procurement areas.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital purchases effectively and strategically.
Preferred Skills:

- Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with e-procurement tools and systems.
- Stellar communication skills and a knack for cross-functional collaboration.
Note: This role does not entail direct report management responsibilities.
**Core Competencies**

**Technical Skills**
- Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
- Microsoft Teams
- Project Management
- Ability to develop Gantt Charts (or use equivalent software)
- Understanding of ERP and MRP systems is a must
- Ability to produce and interpret analytical reports

**Soft Skills**
- Strong time management and communication skills required
- Analytical and a problem solver
- Able to work under pressure with focus on delivering to deadlines
- Use of change management techniques
