The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement process within the organization, ensuring that all purchases are made in a cost-effective manner while meeting quality standards. This role involves developing purchasing strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
- Develop and implement effective purchasing strategies.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure high-quality, cost-efficient products.
- Evaluate supplier performance and maintain approved supplier lists.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast needs and avoid supply chain disruptions.
- Prepare and manage the purchasing budget.
- Stay updated with market trends and supply chain innovations.
Experiência y requisitos
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
- English, 90%
- +5 years of experience in the position.
- Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Knowledge of Procurement and Supply Chain principles and concepts; Ability to read and interpret product specifications and BOMs.
- ISM or APICS certifications desired.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive cost-saving initiatives
