Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role Purpose Meet customer's expectations of on time delivery.
On a daily basis, assures customer orders are acknowledged utilizing Available resources and materials management techniques.
Maintain raw material flow from vendor/supplier by establishing partnerships.
Interfaces between production and customer service representatives.
Support department and organization growth by analyzing constraints and suggesting projects to implement solutions, as well as meeting the department objectives on more complex product families.
Key Responsibilities Analyzes customer order requirements and production capacity to acknowledge shipping dates for assigned production areas.
Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule as required by the area supervisor.
Monitors inventory levels and strategies to maintain at optimum levels, in order to optimize inventory turns & efficiencies.
Interfaces with corporate customer service representatives (CSR's) at on-going basis.
Creates, modifies changes as needed on the ASI system.
Communicates issues/concerns related to schedule changes caused by design problems, capacity limitations or material shortages to appropriate levels within the organization.
Established and maintains communication with internal/external suppliers to improve lead times, and other issues pertaining to raw materials.
Analyzes customer order requirements and production capacity to acknowledge shipping dates for assigned production areas.
Develops and maintains Master Production Schedule as required.
