.REF:- INTERCONNECTLATAM00536- DIVISION:- Smiths Interconnect- JOB FUNCTION:- EngineeringAcerca de NosotrosSome of our technologies/products and their appliances:- Microwave technology is used in radar, communication and surveillance systems that are mission-critical and operate in extreme environments in aerospace and defense and components and connectors manufactured by us ensure optimal performance, durability and safety of space satellites.- Semi-conductor test products are used to test highly sophisticated semi-conductors and electronic circuits in communication systems, gaming products and computing devices.- In-flight antenna systems give passengers internet connectivity gate-to-gate on planes around the world.- Connector and cable solutions ensure reliability of critical medical equipment, and safe operation of trains and transport systems.Descripción del puesto- Provides engineering expertise in assigned areas to ensure that all products are designed, procured, and built in accordance with customer and company quality requirements for sales growth and profitability.Funciones y responsabilidades- Designs & develop new products and redesigns existing products to meet customer needs and specifications.- Perform / Create / Update product design guidelines, customer standards, and / or analytical reports as assigned.- Provide technical support to organizational stakeholders (Production, Quality, Marketing and Sales) and external customers.- Investigates and suggests solutions to the Engineering Manager or Director with regard to product related problems.- Interface with suppliers to evaluate component specification, new manufacturing techniques, and/or new materials.- Compliance and participation in all Smiths Interconnect's EHS programs, policies, procedures and training requirements.- Participate and contribute to team training, development, mentoring and audits.- Demonstrate behaviors consistent with company policies.- Other duties as assigned.El Individuo**Must Have**:- Bachelor of Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent.- **At least 2-4 years of post-graduate experience.**:- **Excellent oral and written communication skills in English. (An interview in English will be performed).**:- Experience with **SolidWorks 3D modeling software or equivalent & understanding GD&T, ANSI/ASME standards.**:- Knowledge of engineering mechanics, material properties, physics and manufacturing methods.- Knowledge of electrical theories especially in signal transmission, characterization and signal integrity.- Familiar with the effects of mechanical component design on its electrical functions/performance.**Preferred Skills**:- Experience with Six Sigma or equivalent tools and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA) preferred.- Experience on Finite Element Analysis (structural, thermal & fluid) preferred.- Experience on electromagnetic (EM) and RF simulations preferred
