.Role Purpose Supports Development by running experiments on products or processes. Reviews experiment designs, conducts experiments and reviews results against customer specifications and potential for cost reduction, process improvements, etc. for the business. Analyzes data and gives inputs and recommendations based on findings. Provides the analytical tools to support business projects, manufacturing sites and competitive analysis.Key ResponsibilitiesProvides inputs on feasibility of producing new products and processes.Develops testing equipment and methodology to test new products.Maintains and operates state of art lab.Analyzes samples to support competitive analysis.Investigates and evaluates external suppliers and/or materials.Troubleshoots customer issues and plant production issues.May supervise direct reports.Deploys systems and trains technicians on correct operations of new equipment.Performs preventative and ongoing maintenance of lab equipment.Presents data analysis and recommendations at cross-functional product development meetings.May design new equipment models for plant production.Develops measurement tools to support plant specifications.Writes technical reports that highlight results and gives detailed analysis of data.Drives continuous improvement of process and analytical tools.Experiences/Education - RequiredEducation: Industrial, Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering degree.Experience: 0-2 years of experience of in a development, manufacturing or experimental laboratory environment working with electrical/mechanical assembly and testing.SkillsValues others and sets an example: Contributes to an environment of respect and collaboration by supporting safety, workplace culture, and valuing the individual while listening and sharing viewpoints.
