Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Product Diagnostic Technician.
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
Responsible in the operations of the diagnostic and root cause analysis of failed product in the prototype or production assembly lines as well as support Engineering with especial pilot runs in prototype and new production assembly lines during line setup and validation. It is also responsible of assisting production floor technician in troubleshooting for complex equipment/machinery failures. Leads the troubleshooting digital and analog electronic circuits on electronic and electrical assemblies. Support, improve and keep diagnostic data base and provide feedback to stakeholders.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
A. Responsible in the operations of the diagnostic and root cause analysis of failed product in the prototype or production assembly lines
B. Support Engineering with especial pilot runs in prototype and new production assembly lines during line setup and validation.
C. Support Engineering in the development, tryout, validation, and Continuous Improvement (CI) of production lines.
D. Support Engineering in the development/definition of failures codes: Machinery, Method, Man and Material.
E. Support Engineering in the training to new product diagnostic Technicians and operator in key operations.
F. Following the product spec, design, development new and innovative products.
G. Support production technicians in troubleshooting of automated equipment or machinery and test equipment as required.
H. Support t QE & SQE in technical analysis of raw material and complex failures.
I. Supports Engineering in the product performance assessments and improvement action plans.
J. Support all MESH/EHS programs towards reducing risks in diagnostic equipment and processes.
K. Communicates regular status report on assigned projects or actions related to its functional area.
L. Provides technical support to other functional areas towards solving issues using root cause analysis tools and contribute to the definition of action plans.
M. Participates in Continuous Improvement programs and activities such as GEMBA walks, Near Misses, Positive Interruptions, Cost Out, IDEAS program, VA/VE, and Lean events among others.
N. Responsible of assigned special projects or actions. #LI-DG2
**Qualifications**:
- Technical career in Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer Systems.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- High technical knowledge in Electrical and Electronic.
- Domain the use of electrical measurements equipment and Instrumentation
- Working knowledge of automotive serial data protocols (CAN)
- Knowledge of 4M's Failures codes.
- Previous' experience in Automotive Electrical/Electronic Products (Desirable)
- Knowledge of non-conformal Inventory disposition
- Medium level of written English
