.**Job Details****What will you do?**Create new product designs and improve existing product designs for commercial air distribution products using sound engineering principles. The near-term emphasis will be on supporting the full implementation of the company's MRP business system and associated engineering documentation.**How will you do it?**Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Use AS400 (Manufacturing Resource Planning software) to enter and configure part and assembly dataValidate and update product designs and BoM'sCreate drawings and BOM's for missing or outdated product documentationCreate/update parts, assemblies, and drawings in SolidWorks modeling software as part of new product introduction projects, value analysis, and engineering change requestsUse SolidWorks PDM software to manage engineering CAD dataRespond to ECR's by releasing drawing and modeling packages on scheduleEvaluate products for cost savings opportunities (value analysis/value engineering)Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering and Engineering Systems teams to ensure design specifications are maintained, eliminate waste, and recommend design adjustments and improvementsProvide technical support for manufacturing and sales/marketingInitiate prototype and design validation builds, facilitate testing, and evaluate results for new product development, product enhancements and VA/VE projectsManage minor projects and standard engineering changes (EC's)Facilitate work with IEC (India Engineering Center) for engineering activities including work requests, providing support and conducting quality auditsParticipate in meetings, seminars, and training sessions, to stay apprised of new developments in technology, tools, and resourcesGenerate technical reports, graphs, and marketing illustrations to define/illustrate system performance and operating characteristicsFollow and comply with company work and safety rulesSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.**What we look for?**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
