Because why not do it all?WHAT TO EXPECTAs an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward-thinking, open-minded and well-rounded individuals to join our global team.The hose product engineering team is responsible for the design, development, and performance testing of hoses used in hydraulic, industrial, fluid transfer, and automotive applications. In this role, there will be opportunities to work with a diverse product offering spanning multiple applications and markets with the guidance of more senior product development engineers. The right candidate will become a member of an experienced team, executing projects globally to drive expansion of the fluid power business.The product reliability team is responsible for product forensic analysis (FA), technique and systems development to support FA, and providing statistical analysis on existing product performance to construct reliability models to optimize testing and product performance. The reliability team is also responsible for creating new mathematical methods and validating correlations to advance the science of hose design, as well as piloting new product concepts and technology to drive innovation.Key responsibilities (to name a few):Execute tasks with a global team to fully implement optimization proposals.Product BOM management.Creation of lab orders for product testing.Analyzing product test results.Organizing and monitoring builds of test materials.Benchmarking of products in industry.Experimentation to enhance product design.Forensic analysis.Interaction with cross-functional global teams (including operations, quality, material development, process engineering, commercial, etc.).Must be able to quickly learn to apply core engineering and six sigma skills such as problem solving, SPC data collection and analysis, FMEA, DOE, etc.Limited travel may be required (5-15%), potentially including international travel.REQUIRED SKILLS:Keeps self-control in hard situations.Strong communication skills.Problem solving and decision making.Customer focus (internal and external).Negotiation skills.Creativity, proactivity, and teamwork.Exceptional attention to internal and external customer requests.Must be able to independently manage time and task execution needs.Ability to interpret and apply mathematical and statistical models and information.Experience and confidence in face-to-face, phone, video call, and email communications
