For the Sensor growth journey, we are searching for a **Product Specialist, Engineering** to be a part of a new established team.
**As Product Specialist, Engineering **you will be point of contact and main responsible for a Sensor product family in our new Sensor factory.
This role includes technical product expert and overall responsible for Sensor performance. Further more you are involved in evaluation and implementation of new product variants (NPV) belonging to the product family and local project team member in new product development (NPD) projects.
As a part of your onboarding, you will receive product and process training on a similar production line in China. Here you will be working closely together with our Chinese colleagues in one or two turns each with a duration of 3-4 weeks.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.
- Take overall ownership of product performance for a Sensor product family
- Evaluate, conclude and sign off on product audit test results
- Secure product quality when changing existing products or releasing NPV
- Drive execution of cost down activity roadmaps timely and effectively
- Evaluate technical feasibility for product changes and NPV in close cooperation with a cross functional team
- Take full ownership of executing/implementing NPV from product specification to release of new variant
- Drive cross functional cooperation when executing NPV
- Represent the local factory in NPD
- Secure establishment of local product ownership in the factory during NPD execution
- Coordinate and drive NPD activities in local factory during project execution
- Take full product ownership in make site/factory after release of NPD
**Background & Skills**:
- Bachelor or Master degree in electronic or mechatronic engineering
- 3-5 Years experience in a similar role.
- Experience with product specification and functionality, preferable experience related to sensors
- Experience with product performance evaluation and systematic product change process
- Master technical analysis and risk assessments related to product performance
- Fluent in English, verbal and in writing
- IATF 16949 methods and processes
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
