Reporting to the Operations Manager within the Cable Backplanes Operation, the Production Manager's primary focus is to achieve production and customer commit plans while maintaining manufacturing world-class practices related to safety standards, process and product quality controls, customer requirements, and on-time delivery. The Production Manager is responsible for talent development, continuous improvement, and fostering a positive work environment in the production department.Ensure that health and safety regulations are always met and drive a safety culture.Determine and implement a world-class quality control mindset and ensure adherence to standards.Accountable for daily operations and meeting production goals in a timely and accurate manner.Ensure that manufacturing processes run reliably and efficiently, driving continuous improvement along with functional teams.Execute and manage production schedules effectively.Collaborate on product introductions to meet given objectives.Drive continuous improvement in productivity (labor, cycle times) and eliminate waste (improving cycle times, reducing scrap, eliminating process waiting times).Provide leadership to the Supervisors team, including establishing objectives, setting goals, and managing accountability for attaining deliverables.Drive and enable visual factory controls on the production shop floor.Lead tier and Gemba activities with the team.Partner with human resources to manage employee services, recruiting, training, and development.Drive initiatives to improve the employee work environment.Minimum Qualifications:Engineering bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, electronic, mechanical, or related field is required.+5 years of prior demonstrated experience in a Production Manager role.English proficiency - 90%.Relevant experience leading a Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing process.Ability to work across the organization and various disciplines, including Engineering, Operations, Program Office, and Business Development.Conflict resolution and negotiating skills.Self-directed, results-oriented, and goal-oriented.Strategic thinking.Effective communication skills.Leadership and development skills (developing Supervisors and team leaders).Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.US VISA required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
