**Job Description**:
This position serves as a 'Lead' advisor to other assembly supervisors with responsibility for coordinating the efforts of multiple lines and production areas.
Responsibiities
- First-line supervisor responsible for assigning and coordinating the work in a manufacturing department to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
- Trains and mentor's new coaches.
- Serves as backup in the absence of the production manager and/or other supervisors as required.
- Has authority for personnel actions and oversees most day to day operations of assigned group.
- Maintains log of shift operations and time/attendance records within assigned area.
- Assigns employees to maximize production objectives, maintain quality, and attain output requirements.
- Participates in establishing and modifying operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, schedules and procedures.
- Maintains a variety of, reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules and performance.
- Works effectively with other supervisors and production managers to resolve conflicts, meet overall objectives, and manage change.
- Makes daily decisions regarding the use of resources across multiple lines in order to maintain effective overall operations, (movement of talent, cross training, etc.).
Qualifications:
Requires a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related. Requires at least 3 years current experience as Assembly or Production Supervisor. Ability to lead and influence others in a production environment. Requires tact and good judgment. Possess and demonstrate good human relations skills. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Good attendance and work history. Must be capable of working flexible hours and overtime. English intermediate/advanced.
