In all these ways and many more, Caterpillar engineers conceptualize ideas that become real-world products in our factories—and make progress possible around the globeThe ICS Global Hydraulics Cylinder Design Engineering team is seeking a qualified individual to provide technical and manufacturing support of cylinder and suspension products produced in Santa Catarina N.L., Mexico. This individual will be responsible for managing and coordinating the design, functionality, performance, and integration of hydraulic cylinder products for the manufacturing environment in coordination with the cylinder engineering team.**Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:- Collaborate with the Global/Regional purchasing and manufacturing facility teams to support the product quality & cost targets, supplier process audit, sourcing, PPAP/APQP process validation- Contribute to multiple New Product Introduction (NPI) cylinder development projects, New Technology Integration (NTI) projects, and product cost/quality improvement projects- Provide design support for hydraulic cylinder & suspension products; accountable for meetingcustomer expectations for product cost, quality, and delivery (for example)- Troubleshoot field failures, Warranty claims, factory issues- Responsible for detailed drawing release and maintenance, conduct continuous product and process development and manage the product Bill of material- Aligned objectives with product groups, suppliers, and manufacturing process partners**Basic Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in an accredited Engineering curriculum (preferably Mechanical)- Experience - 1+ years of hydraulics industry experience- Familiarity with cylinder component suppliers and manufacturing processes- The ability to effectively develop and manage project plans from concept to production- Ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and process partners- Fluent English- Component design expertise on mining and construction equipment- Strong analytical skills & experience in designing the components to meet the machine system performance requirements and cost targets.- Experience in Project management, hands on Creo, Tolerance Stack-up, and GD&T- The ability to work/lead multiple projects simultaneously and to make sound priority decisions- A sense of urgency balanced with a strong commitment to quality**All qualified individuals - Including minorities, females, and individuals with disabilities - are encouraged to apply.****Final details**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?
