The Sourcing Project Manager II will be responsible for driving cross-functional projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring the successful execution of Supply Chain initiatives. The Sourcing Project Manager will support the commodity managers to execute commodity strategies, support operation excellence, Industrial Systems' growth and innovation needs.
Provides support for commodity management to facilitate products and services are delivered to the quality, cost, and delivery performance levels required by Industrial Systems.
Major Responsibilities:
- Manages and monitors project or program schedules, progress and costs to ensure that expected results are delivered on time and within budget
- Develop and maintain project timelines
- Leads cross-functional teams for sourcing initiatives and major capital projects.
- Analyze data to identify issues, opportunities, and to produce effective solutions while executing special projects as assigned.
- Monitor supplier performance data and support commodity managers with underperforming suppliers and/or opportunities for supplier consolidation.
- Support commodity managers on Sourcing strategy development and implementation
Required Education / Experience / Skills:
- BS in Business, Technology or Engineering (ME, IE, EE) or equivalent industrial experience/ MBA is a plus / APICS
- Must demonstrate strong analytical thinking and problem solving using conceptual thinking
- Demonstrated organizational skills required
- Ability to influence in a matrix management environment is essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must
- Fluent knowledge of English language (written and spoken)
