.Quality Plant Engineering Leader Job Description The Quality Plant Engineering leader is a direct report to the ENG/FQM and has a dotted line with the Quality Plant Engineering Manager. He leads the quality plant engineering team in charge of his perimeter. On his meta function perimeter, in order to guarantee customer satisfaction including warranty results in the field and plant efficiency, he leads supplier quality, plant quality convergence, and manages product/process evolutions in serial life. Principle Relationships Main working relationships – With Whom? Why? (Correspondence Frequency) Daily Operational Production meetings with Quality Plant Engineering Manager and his team to deal with quality issues/production.Weekly meetings with FQM manager.Weekly meetings with Supplier Quality Development, ENG/CCLP Cross Car Line & Project, MFG/VPE/GAPE to coordinate the progress of the 7 diamonds.Convening of the site director's/quality managers of the most failing supplier sites. Meetings with suppliers. Operational Context Quality Plant Engineering Leader (QPEL): The holder of this function must contribute to improving the quality level of new and customer vehicles in a context of ever more ambitious quality objectives. The position requires great responsiveness in order to meet quality and production requirements. The role is autonomous in decision-making (or to lead if necessary) to modify the automotive product or the process to guarantee the quality of the vehicles. Support the Quality Plant Engineering Manager to make decisions to hold vehicles and market vehicles. Deliverables Quality Plant Engineering Leader (QPEL): Define containment actions to apply for customer protection (including supplier issues).Perform vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysis.Ensure that his team carries out the pre-analysis activities on time.Conduct risk assessments and lead corrective action plans.Guarantee the product-process maturity of the components of his perimeter management of serial life (windows change management).Propose alternative product solutions in case of issues (as shortage) to avoid stopping mass production in the plant.Participate in Quality ENG tech clubs.Implement good ideas and standards (Read Across).Ensure the right application in the plant of the technical requirements and the meta function "métiers" standards of his perimeter.Ensure that the skills of his team are at the right level.Manage daily management control meetings.Ensure that his team is working in safety.Lead quality KPI management to achieve quality objectives, driving improvement/corrective actions and escalation.Resolve systemic/chronic or major quality issues (Top Warranty, Recalls, etc.).Provide technical support for Yard Holds/Product Related Issues (PRI's).Set up/on-going controls for Process/Product Standards for Vehicle & System Functional Objectives (i.E. ADAS, BSR, FEA)
