Monitor our vendor's quality and lead time performance to ensure we are aligning ourselves with companies that will aid in seizing opportunities for BIC and meeting or exceeding our customer's requirements. Support the inventory strategy and complex warehouse constraints through balancing our run strategy/inventory plan with the constraints of our warehouse space.**What You'll Do**:- Purchasing / expediting materials from multiple suppliers across multiple product lines and material types- Release materials daily to ensure orders are met- Monitoring vendor performance - complete and review supplier score cards quarterly- Monitoring shipments / flow of materials- Monitoring slow moving / obsolete inventory- Assist in purchasing / expediting materials from suppliers across multiple product lines and material types- Provide timely purchase order maintenance and excellent communication to internal customers/stakeholders, including -Receiving, Production and Accounts Payable, and suppliers.- Assist in the quality and returns process, processing credits in AS400 and JDE- Data entry and maintenance of pricing and item master databases. Assist in daily set of up new SKUs into item master matrix- Assist with purchasing custom projects and attend weekly meetings- Take initiative, and support processes for purchasing efficiency and excellent delivery outcome.- Manage the material, receipts, and inventory of 7 other Co-Packaging facilities- Support identifying, sourcing and commissioning primary and secondary vendors- Work with Quality and Suppliers on corrective actions and process improvements to reduce non-conforming materials.- Maintain Master Price File to ensure correct UOM and price are being used for packaging material.- Assist with purchasing of all custom projects**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's Degree (Supply chain management/Business Logistics)- Capacity and inventory planning classes or certificates. Supply Planning training (such as APICS or Oliver White) Excellent communication skills and ability to have difficult conversations with suppliers when needed
