Purchasing Lead

Eaton's IS AER ITD division is currently seeking a Purchasing Lead.

**What you'll do**:
The purchasing supervisor is responsible for managing the Purchasing department's resources; ensuring that all the materials and supplies needed to make products are acquired in a timely, cost-effective manner.

Execute purchasing strategies contributing to meet site goals such as past due, OTD, sales, inventory.

**Essential Functions**:

- Develop a strategic purchasing plan for the organization based on market trends and opportunities to reduce cost while maintaining quality service levels.
- Coordinating the flow of materials from supplier to manufacturing facility to ensure that all materials arrive on time.
- Coordinate buyer's goals driven successful site level goals.
- Create improvement plans with key suppliers.
- Execute competitive bidding to ensure best price obtained.
- Analyze demand requirements and elaborate reports (shortages, Min-Max, etc.)
- Propose alternate sourcing solutions.
- Create, manage, coordinate cost-out projects with the purchasing team and other departments.
- Coordinate suppliers bidding process for services.

**Basic qualifications**:

- More than 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment
- ERP knowledge
- MRP knowledge
- Strong negotiation skills
- Advanced English 90%

**Preferred**:

- APICS certification
- Mfg. Pro knowledge
- Aerospace standards and certification knowledge
