.RESPONSIBILITIES:- Perform root cause analysis of quality issues, often using advanced problem-solving tools- Coordinate or independently recommend and implement cost effective permanent corrective actions either within the quality function or coordinating with other plant functions.- Continuously review and ensure compliance of data provided by hourly quality technicians in order to achieve quality objectives- Provide clear direction to skilled and non-skilled trades in the operation of product testing and evaluation to generate necessary quality test data- Protect product design intent and function while assisting with identification and solutions of manufacturing constraints- Provide technical direction to employees regarding root cause analysis, issue resolution and establish corrective actions serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the manufacturing facility- Interpret and ensure knowledge transfer of manufacturing changes with respect to engineering designs, specifications, materials and standards for hourly and salary personnel- Demonstrate operational knowledge of most production activity is necessary to determine appropriate preventative quality assurance practices and to assess performance against requirements.- Responsible for timely changes to quality documentation or practices. Communicate, train and ensure understanding to all affected employees.**REQUIREMENTS**:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science or related- Indispensable to reside in Tecate- 1+ years of experience in quality and/or manufacturing positions- Proficiency with measuring tools: micrometers, calibers, comparator, gages, etc.- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner- Drive issues to closure- Previous experience with process / material disciplines relative to impact to quality- Experience with ISO, standards or equivalent required- SPC, problem solving and experienceKEY COMPETENCIESBehavioral Competencies - Common to all Motus Positions- Integrity - Iron clad.
