As we scale our business, we are looking to expand our growth within India.As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will support and drive improvements with our growing network of manufacturing partners in Mexico. You will provide "boots on the ground" support to our manufacturing partners while representing the voice of the customer.In this role, you'll be using your supplier quality engineering background in mechanical hardware production, leveraging your manufacturing process knowledge and structured problem-solving skills to resolve issues and to continually drive improvements.The role is very hands-on, with frequent travel to our Mexican manufacturing partners expected. Additionally, you will maintain contact between visits using remote working practices such as virtual audits. At Fictiv, we believe a robust network of manufacturing partners is essential for creating and maintaining the world's premier platform for hardware manufacturing, and you'll be playing a critical role in making that happen.You will be instrumental in giving customers the confidence that Fictiv manages parts manufacturing even better than they would.As the Mexico Quality Team grows, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership capabilities and position yourself for potential promotion into a Quality Team leadership role.You will initially report to the Head of Global Quality and then transition to reporting to the Industrial Projects Manager.What You'll Be DoingOnboarding new manufacturing partners – in collaboration with Fictiv's Strategic Sourcing Team, you will ensure that prospective manufacturing partners are effectively assessed for their ability to dependably deliver quality parts, on time to the customer's needs.Development of existing manufacturing partners – responsible for the following areas of development:Establishing processes to meet customer-specific requirementsEstablishing control plans to build quality inUsing Fictiv's supplier maturity model and manufacturing partner scorecards to plan improvement activitiesNonconformance resolution with manufacturing partners – coach manufacturing partners in effective root cause analysis and the execution of robust corrective and preventive actions
