What to expect as a Quality Project Engineer at our Location in El Salto: Responsible for meeting quality performance deliverables and attaining customer and quality-related targets for new projects. Statistical analysis, presentations, and data analysis are essential for collecting, monitoring, evaluating, and communicating data for new products in the new product introduction process. Perform capability studies for new products and processes. Identify customer requirements for new and modified products. Guide the problem-solving process for all significant internal issues. Assess the risk of customer issues at key junctures in product development. Report and assess reliability testing results for new products. Complete Quality Plan for all new products. Communicate development status of new products on quality milestones to guidance. Lead APQP efforts for product transfers with cross-functional teams utilizing quality tools for this type of Advanced Product Quality Planning effort. Lead and contribute to the following quality systems and/or activities: Manufacturing Sample Lot Quantities, PPAPs, Control Plans, P-FMEA, capability studies, SPC, Gage R&R, problem solving, and preventive quality actions at the receiving manufacturing facilities. Utilize tools such as root cause analysis through 8D problem solving, design of experiment, and poka-yoke in support of the receiving facility to ensure quality level remains unchanged or improved. Participate in validation test plans for quantity, test length, and test type for each product family with product engineering. Track and report product quality performance showing impact by product family or SKU. Communicate and implement quality initiatives at manufacturing facilities. Your profile as a Quality Project Engineer: Previously held role as a Quality Engineer or Project Quality Engineer. Must have customer experience launching products with Ford, GM, Nissan, Toyota, Tesla, Stellantis, among others. Working knowledge of Product Delivery Process and tools. Problem Solving (8D methodology). ISO TS 16949. APQP Methodology. PPAP Methodology. GD&T reading. Core tools. Fixtures/Gauges design and manufacture. Moderate-to-advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools; willing to learn company & customer systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills; English proficiency.
