**SUMMARY**:
Supports and supervises the Quality Inspection staff.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Follows all pertinent ISO 9000 and ISO 1400 procedures and assures that his activities adhere to CBC´s quality and environmental systems.
- Checks production schedules to determine the necessary inspection personnel
- Assigns specific tasks and labor areas to the Inspection personnel.
- Provides staff inspection of documents and tools necessary to perform their tasks.
- Supervises the inspection staff to ensure they perform their functions as specified and assists Quality Inspectors regarding decisions on non-standard material determined.
- Collects non-conformance documentation generated in his labor area or during their shift and delivers to the management for control and monitoring.
- Participates in analysis teams to improve processes.
- Replaces the inspectors and inspection work carried out when required.
- Monitors and reports on work of its staff time and delays and absences.
- Bachelor's degree in business, in industrial packaging or a related field (i.e.
manufacturing industry) preferred
- +3 years' experience in TQM, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing or Process Improvement
- Thorough knowledge of ANSI/ISO/SFI/FSC/GMP; Quality Management Systems
- Excellent interpersonal & communication skills (verbal and written), dealing with individuals at all levels; comfortable to represent the company in the best possible light, using various means of communication (presentations, customer briefs etc.)
- High energy, with the ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Proven leadership skills and ability to motivate & develop both senior and junior level staff
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Self-motivated and committed individual, strong work ethic
- Excellent analytical skills, methodical approach and commercial acumen
- Ability to define problems, collect data/facts and draw reasonable conclusions
- Capable of interpreting a variety of technical instructions (manuals, procedures etc.)
in different forms e.g.
diagram etc.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Able to recognize the non-conformity, analyze and solve or recommend improvements
- Ability to work with various departments (sales, operations, finance) to resolve challenges
- Able to drive team to continuously improve processes and foster good working relationships
- Capable of stepping back and let the direct reports handle day to day issues with their teams
- Capable of building strong relationships internally and externally (e.g.
key customers etc.)
