Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry.This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network.
The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications.
The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.Role PurposeSupport Quality Engineering expertise to establish processes and procedures to improve Quality Systems and meet the Quality objectives for the Plant.
Maintain Quality Systems to meet ISO-9000 and TL-9000 elementsKey Responsibilities Keep manufacturing processes and documents to ensure robust processes Support administrative tasks, such as documenting and releasing processes Utilize and communicate process information to solve manufacturing issues Lead low complexity projects under Engineering supervision and direction, executing actions based on established methodologies Support problem-solving in manufacturing, including root cause identification and resolution Support the implementation of a robust Product Quality Architecture for new and existing products and process Develop Quality process, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement procedures Analyze and resolve Quality problems, using statistical tool, data analysis Follow up key department project to achieve and improve Quality performance in the Plant Experiences/Education - Required Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electronic Technical Career 2-4 years of experience in manufacturing process Competencies Problem Solving Technical Learning Written communications Demonstrate Drive & Commitment Dealing with Ambiguity Collaboration/Teamwork Demonstrating Initiative Ethics & Values Prioritizing & Organizing Communicating Effectively Adaptability Good organizational skills Additional skills Proved experience on technical expertise in manufacturing processes Proved experience on new processes into manufacturing Process improvement process Very good communication skills (verbal and written) Problem solving and decision making processes and skills Innovation and Results oriented Requires a creative self-motivated individual who seeks out solutions to the challenges associated with the position and drives these solutions through to completion.
