POSITION SUMMARY: The Regulatory Compliance Specialist is an integral component of the Manufacturing team.
This position will accomplish compliance work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and guiding auditors from regulatory agencies such as, but not limited to Responsible Jewelry Council (RJC) and Fair Labor Association (FLA).
Responsible for managing the manner of implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification System/Systems of Warranties (KPCS/SoW) including the internal program, training of staff, external reporting, and maintaining a system to include procedures, testing, and training, to prevent handling of stones from unknown suppliers or sources that do not implement regulatory requirements.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:Manages the implementation of the regulatory compliance systems and processes to include testing, training, and reporting.Prepares for audits by researching materials and formulating a plan of action.Ensures compliance with regulations and controls by examining and analyzing records, reports, operating practices, and documentation, recommending opportunities to strengthen the internal control structure.Completes audit work papers and memorandums by documenting audit tests and findings.Communicates audit progress and findings by preparing reports and providing information in meetings.Supports external auditors by coordinating information requirements.Provides management reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing management information.Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.Enhances compliance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.Remains knowledgeable of regulatory requirements and monitors for upcoming changes and gaps in current practice/policies.EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in business discipline required.Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Experience in operations research, conducting audits, quality management, data and statistical analysis, ad hoc reporting, and reporting research results.Knowledgeable of customs/shipping regulations of US and Mexico as related to the Company's needs.General consulting skills.English/Spanish bilingual required.Benefits:Law benefitsCafeteria service (subsidized)Food vouchersPunctuality and attendance bonusMonday to Friday schedule-Requerimientos-Educación mínima: Educación superior - Licenciatura3 años de experienciaIdiomas: InglésEdad: A partir de 28 añosDisponibilidad de viajar: SiPalabras clave: especialista#J-18808-Ljbffr
