Overview:
The Safety Manager primary goal is to promote and develop activities to guard keep our safety culture across.
**Job Description**:
- Develop best practices on safety across our locations and areas of work.
- Follow up on safety bulletins and ensure corrective actions are implemented and safety risks mitigated
- Perform continuous training on safety
- Promote and be ambassador of our safety 1st program and culture
- Be the leader to coordinate ISO 45001 certifications
- Explore new technologies and innovation around safety
- Track, train and reinforce practices.
- Lead a team of Safety Supervisors
- Be a key stakeholder when it comes to our Safety targets regarding LTIs, NLTIs, Incidents, and Near Misses
- Collaborate with the Operation department to ensure our safety culture is maintained and continuously reinforced
- Engage with our customers and Operations teams to develop incident countermeasures and ensure they are implemented
- Support the digital transformation aspect of our safety program
- Engage with our medical service to ensure best practices are applied
- Travelling required within Mexico and sporadically abroad

Job Requirements:
- 5-years of experience in industrial safety within manufacturing or logistics operations
- Experience identifying safety risks and developing sustainable corrective actions.
- Hands on, "roll-up-sleeve" attitude when reviewing issues on site. Position will have a base at a production site.
- Experience working with production employees
- Good English proficiency - verbal and written communications
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations in Mexico as well as overall policies in the industry
- In depth knowledge of STPS requirements on safety at the work place
- Strong knowledge on protective equipment EPPs
- Approachable and possess strong communication skills (written and oral) and comfort working collaboratively across all areas of our company.
- Strong problem solving, negotiation & influencing skills
- Documented history effectively identifying issues, constructively solving problems and making thoughtful decisions and partnering with production and non-production employees
- Listening skills as well as the ability to understand people's background and motives while acknowledging differences in a healthy and constructive manner.
