Job Description Job Purpose This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Sales in sales activities in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve/exceed budget in executing the sales strategy of the Hotel.
Reporting Lines Reports to the Director of Sales.
Primary Responsibilities Sales SupportMaintain complete knowledge of hotel features/services, hours of operation, function space, entertainment options, menus, and safety guidelines.Answer incoming phone calls using hotel telephone etiquette guidelines and handle inquiries according to departmental procedures.Coordinate all group arrangements and work with group contacts for program planning.Communicate group needs to relevant departments and follow up with post-conference reports.Input group bookings and update activities in the system weekly.Prepare reports, maintain records, and manage filing systems according to hotel sales administration processes.Maintain gifts inventory and coordinate sending gifts to clients.Arrange site inspections for potential clients.Promote positive relations with clients and attend to requests courteously.Acknowledge and handle client complaints tactfully, reporting incidents to management.Up-sell and promote hotel facilities and services to maximize sales revenue.Other Responsibilities Be conversant with hotel fire & life safety/emergency procedures.Attend briefings, meetings, and training as assigned by management.Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.Perform other reasonable duties assigned by management. Qualifications Knowledge and Experience Diploma in Tourism/Hospitality Management/Events Management.Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar capacity.Excellent proficiency in English (reading, writing, oral).Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
