team is an impactful ensemble of multiple key business functions including SEO, Integrated Communications, and Onsite Testing that acquire and engage millions of users across our platforms. The Trulia DS team is tasked with organizing, analyzing, and visualizing large datasets from various sources to help advise both short and long-term decision-making. Our structure is very flat and you will soon find yourself working directly with Senior Leadership.

In this role, you will:
Partner with product & engineering to help craft a long-term customer strategy.
Use sophisticated analytics including clustering, propensity modeling, and causal inference techniques to gain a clearer picture of customer behavior.
Build compelling data stories and visualizations to influence decision-makers.
Serving as a mentor and resource to other data scientists on the team by hosting learning academies and authoring detailed documentation.
Design, analyze, and interpret A/B experiments with statistical precision.
Identify and track business-critical metrics; analyze, measure, and report levers that help move them.
Collaborate with fellow Data Scientists to build and improve the DS infrastructure (ETLs, dashboards, experimentation platform, tracking, etc.)

This role has been categorized as a teleworker position. Teleworkers do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Have an undergraduate or Master's degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, engineering, statistics, finance, or similar).
4+ years of work experience involving quantitative data analysis, experimentation and sophisticated problem-solving, preferably in a consumer-facing product.
A strong understanding of statistical concepts, measurement issues, and inference techniques.
Experience articulating and translating business questions and using statistical techniques to arrive at answers.
Proficiency in SQL, Python/R, along with some experience with visualization tools and working with terabyte sized clickstream data.
Experience with ETL pipelines, scheduling and productionalizing. (Airflow, Spark, or similar experience is a plus)
Ability to think creatively and provide thoughtful, agile insights
Superb verbal and written communication skills with the ability to distill sophisticated issues and detailed analysis into simple, structured frameworks with concrete action plans
Able to work across silos and influence business partners to set realistic goals and focus on data-driven solutions
