Commercial Experience is a strategic asset within UniOps. They are an intrinsic and integral part of financial and management reporting, treasury, controls, supplier operations and finance expertise from invoicing to payment processing, budgeting, and cost optimization - an accelerator that fuels growth for Unilever.
Commercial Experience drives significant organization change including the roll out of new digital capabilities such as Concur, Coupa, Blackline, Tail Spend Management and the establishment of new and value-added operations, including Treasury MO/BO, P&H Controllership, ZBB Program and Global Finance Excellence Team (FET) Overheads. Some of these operational lines are delivered through a 3-tier model, including the Operating Center, which oversees the third-party strategic partners and partners with the Markets organization.

**LOCATION**: Bosques, Mexico City
**MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**:
The R2R Finance Manager, North America is responsible for partnering with the NA Controller and Cluster VP Finance, and leading the end-to-end processes to deliver service, continuous process improvement, process/financial control discipline across the all 3 Tier operating levels and cost saving projects. North America is Unilever's largest Cluster/operating unit with Turnover of $13bn
**YEARS OF EXPERIENCE NEEDED IN SIMILAR ROLES**:
**Preferred to have **10 years of overall experience in Business Partnering, Controllership and Management roles.**
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Performing the timely and accurate, end-to-end completion of the North America month-end financial close and external financial reporting processes for 40+ legal entities;
- Leading full end-to-end compliance with Unilever's R2R Global Process Model and Global Financial Controls Framework, including interfaces with Corporate and external audit (KPMG);
- Driving effective and comprehensive R2R Joint Business Plans between the Cluster and Commercial Experience, including effective delivery and performance management against the same. This will include, but is not limited to:
- Deployment and delivery of global and local cost reduction and process improvement projects with strong governance;
- Maintaining the financial control, discipline and hygiene in Clusters, while supporting Control Service Center and GCAD teams to improve the country capabilities in terms of risk management and mitigation;
- Integration of the service lines to ensure that all global and regional services are delivered to the business in accordance with agreed service levels and performance targets, continuously minimizing the probability and impact of any unplanned service interruption.
- Working with GCAD on accounting for acquisitions, determining the nature of accounting to be applied for local acquisitions and transition on financial accounting for the acquired entities within 1 year of the transaction. Leading R2R activities for full and partial business integrations.
- Foster close relationships across Commercial Experience to ensure tight integration and harmonized ways of working as part of the wider global operating model.
- Act as the escalation point for most significant day-to-day issues or problems in the Market Cluster/Countries; and
- Performing continuous feasibility and business case analysis for any new opportunities of transition and transformation activities for the Clusters in scope.
- Managing the relationships with Third Party Service Providers with the right balance between creating accountability and strong visible partnership, while ensuring financial control compliance within the region;
